Early Bird Volunteers

ImageTwo weeks ago we made the decision at LifeJourney Church to offer two services at 9:00 and 11:00. So far, the 11:00 service has been the most attended. We kind of expected that! However, we need some folks to volunteer to attend the 9:00 service. We would like to have a core group of 50 who volunteer to attend the 9:00 AM  service for  six months. This will free space up at 11:00, as well as provide us a core group and a sense of fullness, excitement, and encouragement.

There are some GREAT BENEFITS to attending the 9:00 service….

  1. You can beat the Baptists to the buffet table. 😉
  2. You will have more time to go to the park, shop, or whatever else you have planned for Sunday afternoon.
  3. You will help us to maximize the opportunities for two services.
  4. You will help LifeJourney reach more people for Jesus.
  5. You will provide encouragement to those who are naturally “early birds”.
  6. You are making room for our 11:00 service to grow.

Hebrews 10:24-25 in the ESV says, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you seethe Day drawing near”.

I know that the summer months are upon us, but as we have entered into this new season of our church it is VITAL that we commit to attending worship on a weekly basis. As scripture teaches us, your attendance is an encouragement to your brothers and sisters and to your pastors! In other words, you are GREATLY MISSED when you are not here. There will be a signup sheet at the tables for those who would like to volunteer to attend the 9:00 AM service.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
