We had an amazing service at Samaritan’s Cupboard last night! Here are my quick-hit thoughts…
- We had our largest crowd ever as we gave away boxes of food to 30 families! We had prepared exactly 30 boxes of food!
- Our goal for next month is 40 families. “According to your faith, let it be done for you.” (Matt. 9:29)
- Tommy Hooper sang “The Anchor Holds”. Many people receiving food were moved to tears. It was a beautiful sight watching Ken pass out tissues.
- I don’t know what it is, but I always preach better at Samaritan’s Cupboard. It just flows freely. The Holy Spirit shows up in a strong way every time we hold a service. I don’t always since the same moving in the Sunday services. Just being honest.
- There is something holding us back on Sunday mornings and I know what it is…bad attitudes. I am going to start demanding that either the attitudes change or the people sitting in the pews with the bad attitudes do. (Change churches that is.)
- If you have a bad attitude about serving food to the hungry then you are diametrically opposed to the Kingdom of God. Period. (Matt. 25:35)
- “Two words in a Christian’s language cannot go together, ‘No, Lord’.” – Henry Blackaby

Awesome stuff, man. Amen to opening the door to the hungry and needy and showing the exit door to the sourpusses if they’re unwilling to change.
